FORT WORTH, Texas - Thunderstorms postponed the University of New Mexico baseball game against TCU Friday night. The Horned Frogs were batting with one out in the bottom of the first when the teams were forced off the field. Play will resume at 12 p.m. (MT) Saturday with the second game scheduled for 4 p.m. Game two will be televised by The Mtn. and both games will be carried by ESPN Radio 101.7 The Team.

DJ Peterson tripled with two outs in the top of the first to extend his hitting streak to a career-best 21 games but was unable to score. Then Austin House struck out the only batter he faced in the bottom of the frame before play was halted.

The series has massive ramifications on the Mountain West regular-season championship. The Lobos are currently in first place with a 12-3 record, while TCU is a game back at 11-4. UNM is seeking to win its first regular-season title since 2000 and put an end to the Horned Frogs' run of six-straight championships.
