Spencer Levin Helps United States Claim Eisenhower Trophy

RIO GRNADE, PUERTO RICO - The final round of the World Team Amateur Championship was cancelled today due to rain and lightning. The United States was awarded the Eisenhower Trophy for the second consecutive time as they won the tournament by 9-strokes over Spain. Junior Spencer Levin finished second at 10-under par.

Levin shot rounds of 70, 69 and 67 on the Rio Mar Country Club Ocean and River Courses. Levin's 10-under par was 2-strokes behind teammate Ryan Moore who finished first at 12-under par (65-67-72=204). Lee Williams the final U.S. Representative finished T25th at 2-under par.

The University of New Mexico men's golf team returns to action this weekend at the Carpet Capital Classic hosted by Georgia Tech.
