Lobos Lead John Burns Intercollegiate After First Round

WAHIAWA, HAWAI'I - The University of New Mexico finished the first round of the 22 team John Burns Intercollegiate in first place with a 12-under par 276 first round score. The Lobos lead Utah by two strokes as the Utes stand at 10-under par with a 278.

Individually for UNM, Spencer Levin is tied with four other players for the lead at 5-under with a first round 67 on the par-72 6917 Leilehua Golf Course. Following Levin is Jay Reynolds and Jay Choi who are tied for sixth after a 4-under 68 and trail the leaders by only one stroke. Other individual results for New Mexico are tied for 13th playing as an individual is Charlie Beljan at 3-under, while Tyler Symons and Ian Medlock are tied for 56th at 1-over par.

The second round of the John Burns Intercollegiate will be played tomorrow morning and the finall round will be played Friday morning at the Leilehua Golf Course in Wahiawa, Hawai'i.
