TUCSON, Ariz. --- The University of New Mexico baseball team got on the scoreboard first, but the Arizona Wildcats had two big innings to win Wednesday afternoon's game at Jerry Kindall Field, 13-5. The Lobos are now 28-10 on the season and return home for a three-game series with #15 San Diego State this weekend.

UNM got on the board first in the second inning, 1-0, when senior Kevin Atkinson scored on a two-out double by junior Adam Courcha.

But Arizona (16-16) put together two big innings with seven runs in the third and six in the fourth to take a commanding 13-1 lead.

The Lobos were able to come up with two runs in the seventh when senior Brian Cavazos-Galvez scored on a Courcha sacrifice fly and junior Justin Howard scored on a single by junior Daniel Gonzalez, 13-3.

In the eighth, junior Cameron Monger drove in sophomore Rafael Neda with a double to right center and scored on a second sacrifice fly by Courcha to get the Lobos to 13-5.

Courcha was just 1-for-2 from the plate with three RBI and two sacrifice flies to lead the Lobos, while Howard had two of the Lobos' 11 hits.

Willy Kesler took the loss for UNM (0-1) in just his second start of the season. Matt Veltmann earned the win for Arizona.

Notes for this weekend:
*Sunday's game time against San Diego State has been moved up to noon.

*SDSU pitcher Stephen Strasburg is expected to start on Friday night. Game time is 6 p.m.

*Friday night is Pack the Park at Isotopes Park. Tickets are $2. Razzle Dazzle will perform at the seventh inning stretch.
