Breda Bova
Position: Faculty Representative
Experience: 16 Years
Breda Murphy Bova, a professor of Education and Associate Dean in the College of Education, begins her 16th year as the faculty representative for the University of New Mexico to the Mountain West Conference and the NCAA. Bova's duties include supervising UNM's compliance with the conference, and NCAA rules.

Bova is in her 32nd year at UNM. She attended St. Thomas Aquinas (N.Y.) College where she received a bachelor's degree in Mathematics in 1967. Bova earned her master's degree in Educational Research from Dayton in `69 and her Ph.D. in Adult Education from UNM in `79.

During her tenure at UNM, Bova has received numerous awards, been published on several occasions and has served on various committees. She is very active locally, serving on the board of the Golden Apple Foundation, New Mexico Parent and Child Resources, Albuquerque Public Schools Foundation and the Samaritan Counseling Center.

A New Jersey native, Bova and her husband, Art, have a daughter, Kate.
