Getting to know Michaela Bezdickova:

What is your favorite thing (restaurant, event, item, etc.) that is unique to Albuquerque?

"I like the weather in Albuquerque because it is almost always sunny here. I also think that the architecture is very unique because it is a mixture of different architectural styles."

Do you feel that the program has made you a better tennis player (mentally, physically) and why?

"Yes, I got definitely better because I had never weightlifted before I came here to UNM. I think it has helped to my movement on the court. I think it made me a better player mentally because we compete a lot and if I lose, I sometimes need to regroup quickly. There is a new match the next day and you can't let that affect you mentally."
