2011-12: Junior Season
Laura Richardsonrecorded an overall singles record of 8-9 and a dual match record of 2-3. Her two wins were played at the number six spot. In doubles, she posted an overall record of 6-11 and a dual match record of 0-5. She received the Academic All-Conference Award for spring 2012.
2010-2011: Sophomore Season
She played mostly in the number five position in singles. She saw most of her doubles time at the number three position partnering with Kristin Eggleston. She had two very significant wins beating ACU's Emily Conrad whom she had never before beaten in her junior career in USTA (United States Tennis Association). She also won a key deciding match against University of Montana. She was named Mountain West Scholar Athlete.
2009-2010: Freshman Season
She went 7-29 overall in singles where she split time between the number two, three, four and five positions. She won 71 percent of her matches when she won the first set. She was named a UNM Scholar Athlete.
Prior to UNM
She is a 2009 graduate from Parkway South High School in Saint Louis, MO. Her team was named district champions three out of the four years when she was in high school. She finished second in state her senior year. She earned honor roll all four years.
She is the daughter of Paul and Kari Richardson. Both parents played collegiate tennis with Paul at the University of South Dakota and Kari at the University of Minnesota. She has two sisters Elyse and Emily. She was coached in high school by her father and uncle. She is majoring in Biology.

What is one thing you would like potential recruits to know about Albuquerque?
"Albuquerque is unique and different from any part of the U.S. (that I have seen). The people and the community along with the other players are all extremely supportive of UNM Athletics and are also extremely friendly."
What is it like representing UNM when you play against other colleges?
"I feel honored and pride when representing UNM. UNM has invested so much in me and I always try to give everything I have back to the organization that supports me wholeheartedly."
