Lobos Are Back-to-Back Mountain West Tournament Champions

UNM captures its second straight conference tournament championship with a 22-3 win over San Diego State

SENIOR (2012): Made nine starts on the mound for the Lobos and appeared in 16 games overall ... posted a 5-3 record with a 6.75 ERA in 56 innings ... struck out 39 and walked only 11 while allowing only two home runs ... earned his first win of the season in the first game of a double header against UTSA on Feb. 25 ... his best start came against Gonzaga on Mar. 11 to earn his second win ... he went seven innings against the Bulldogs and allowed only one run on six hits while striking out a season-high seven ... also earned wins against Arizona St. (Apr. 9), Texas Tech (Apr. 17), and UNLV (May 12) ... recorded the final three outs in the Mountain West Tournament championship game on May 26 versus San Diego St. ... finished his career with 65 appearances, which ranks fifth all-time at UNM.

SOPHOMORE (2010): Went 4-2 in 11 starts for the Lobos, compiling an ERA of 5.83 and striking out 30 in 16 total appearances ... picked up a huge win at USC, giving up just two earned runs on five hits over eight innings of work in a 3-2 victory for the Lobos ... had a dominant victory over San Francisco, throwing six shutout innings while allowing just three hits in a 19-4 Lobos' victory.
