SENIOR (2013):Was a sixth-round draft pick of the Texas Rangers following the season, the second Lobo taken in the draft ... continuously improved as the season went along and was nearly unhittable at times in his last few outings ... finished the season 7-3 with a 2.90 ERA and 75 strikeouts in 93.0 innings and was named to the All-Mountain West first team ... over his last seven starts spanning 46.1 innings he allowed just six runs, five earned, and struck out 38 while walking just 15 ... struck out a career-high seven batters four different times during that stretch, and also struck out seven at Air Force on April 6 ... named MW Pitcher of the Week May 6 for his performance against Air Force ... tossed a career-best 7.2 innings and struck out seven and allowed just one run on four hits and a walk ... had a 14.1 scoreless innings streak from April 13-27 ... allowed more than three runs just once in 16 starts and allowed just 10 extra-base hits all season ... was one of a record 16 players on the team to be named Academic All-Mountain West.
