Man this place is amazing. It is a while lot more than what I was expecting. I thought it was going to be like a resort in Las Vegas – my hometown – but there is so much more to do here.
We got up this morning and had breakfast before heading out to see what there was to see. After we ate, a couple of us met up with Coach Neal and his family. We tried to ride everything we could today. We made it to all of the water slides, the river and a quick trip out to the beach. It was a lot of fun for all of us. This whole trip is supposed to be about getting to know all of the new coaches and letting them get to know us better. That certainly was the case today.
You should have heard the life guards making fun of Faris and Tony on “The Drop.” It is a ride where you drop straight down and it is completely dark – you can’t see anything. Tony and Daniel were in front of us a little bit and when they went down they screamed like two little girls. The life guards thought it was hilarious because here are two big basketball players – remember Faris is 6-9 – and they were scared to death of this ride. I am going to ride it again tomorrow, but I don’t know about those two.
We are about to head out for our pregame meal. I don’t know what to expect tonight, but we are going to play hard and it should be a lot of fun.
