Was issued an NCAA disqualification waiver, effectively ending his career, but allowing him to remain on scholarship • Will remain in important part of the program • Power forward who transferred from the University of Tennessee • Received a waiver from the NCAA during the summer, granting his immediate eligibility • Last name is pronounced na-GAY-do • Was inactive during the 2009-10 season at Tennessee after suffering a sudden cardiac arrest (9/28/09) and having a sub-pectoral internal cardiac defibrillator (ICD) implanted in his chest (10/6/09) • Remained on full scholarship, attended practices and traveled with the team • Did not begin playing organized basketball until he was 15 • Left Kaduna, where he lived with his father in the Nigerian army barracks, in 2005 • Can dribble a basketball soccer-style • Has a 40-inch standing vertical leap
