A 2005 graduate of Rye (Colo.) High School...won the shot put and was the runner-up in the discus as a senior, leading RHS to a 2nd place finish at the Colorado class 2A state meet...came back from a torn ACL in her left knee, which she suffered during basketball practice in November of 2004...won the shot put title with a school record-setting mark of 41-08.00 on her 1st attempt...captured the state discus crown as a junior...PR in the event was 121-09..placed at the state meet all 4 years...2-time Coaches Award winner for Jeff Baily and Tammy VanOort...also lettered in basketball and volleyball...NHS member and Army Scholar Athlete Award winner...
