Veteran long distance runner who was one of the most improved athletes on the powerful UNM cross country team this past fall after redshirting all of the 2008-09 cross country and track seasons...has made marked progress in her fitness level over the past year and coaches say she is in the best shape of her career...2009 second team all-MWC XC runner and the 2006 MWC Women's Freshman of the Year...has scored in 13 of her 17 career XC races.

2010: (outdoor) Scored at the MWC Championships in the 5,000-meters with a raw time of 17:48.13 for 4th place...ran a personal-best time in the 5K at the Mt. Sac Relays with a time of 17:07.30

2009: (cross country) Second team all-MWC honoree who scored in three of her seven meet appearances for the nationally ranked women's squad...crossed the line a season-best eighth (team's No. 5, season-best 6K time of 21:36.3) as the Lobos cruised to their second straight MWC title...40th (team's No. 6) at the NCAA Mountain Region Championships and ran seventh on the team (228th overall) in her NCAA Championships debut...clocked a career best 6K time of 21:10.1 at the NCAA meet...three top-10 finishes on the season.

2007-08: (outdoor) Raced 7 times...ranked 5th on the team (19th MWC) in the 5,000 with a career-best time of 17:49.73 at Cal...Lobos No. 4 1,500 runner (4:53.01 - altitude adjusted)...runner-up in the 5K at the Don Kirby Invite in Albuquerque...(indoor) No. 2 on the team (14th MWC) in the 5,000 with a top time of 17:51.24 at Washington...12th in the event at the MWC Championships...fourth on the team in the 3,000 with a career-best 10:24.77 at Notre Dame...No. 3 miler on the team (5:21.51 - altitude adjusted)...raced 5 times...(cross country) Scored in all 5 meets, running among the top-3 on the team in 4 races...was the Lobos' No. 3 runner at the MWC Championships (18th) and NCAA Mountain Region Championships (39th)...career-high 3rd place finish to help lead UNM to its first Lobo Invitational win in the season-opener...career-best 6K time of 21:32 at Oregon (54th overall).

2006-07: (outdoor) Raced 3 times...won the 3,000m at Arizona and ranked third on the team with a season-best 5,000m time of 17:55.67 at San Diego...(indoor) Competed in 3 races with a top 3,000m time of 11:33.11...(cross country) Was the team's No. 3 runner in all five meets...notched a pair of top-20 finishes, including an 18th place (22:24.4) effort at the MWC Championships en route to MWC Freshman of the Year honors...was 11th in her collegiate debut at home in the Lobo Invitational...season-best 6K time of 22:08 at Stanford (35th)...40th at the NCAA Mountain Regional Championships in Albuquerque.


A 2006 graduate of Albuquerque Cibola High School...Albuquerque Public Schools Athlete of the Year in '06...two-time Albuquerque Tribune Girls Cross Country Athlete of the Year...5A state, district and city cross country champion as a senior...won seven of her eight races in 2005, including the New Mexico-Arizona Border Wars and Lobo Invitational meets...broke the Albuquerque Academy course record at the city meet with a time of 18:34 and her time of 18:29 was the fastest by a girl of any class at the state meet...finished third at the state meet as a junior and fourth as a sophomore...won back-to-back state titles in the 3,200-meter run on the track as a junior and senior (11:09.13)...runner-up in the 1,600 (5:09.90) in '06...clocked a PR time of 11:03 in the 3,200 as a senior and was third at the Great Southwest Classic (11:08.52)...
