Fifth-year senior who is looking to build on a strong finish to the 2009 outdoor track season...enrolled at UNM in the fall of 2008 after spending the previous four years at Florida State (2004-08)...trained with the Lobos throughout the `08 cross country season, but was never healthy enough to contribute...came on strong late in the outdoor season, however, earning all-MWC honors in the 5,000 and just missing a trip to the NCAA Midwest Regional meet...ranks ninth on the Lobos' all-time performers list in the 5K outdoors (UNM best of 16:52.16)...was one of the country's premier 5,000 and 10,000 runners and an NCAA Cross Country Championships individual qualifier early in her career...academic standout as well with a 3.92 graduate GPA...two-time Academic All-MWC.

2010: (outdoor) Only ran in one race...ran a time of 17:47.07 in the 5,000-meters at the Stanford Invitational...sat out the rest of outdoor due to an injury

2009: (cross country) Four meet appearances for the nationally-ranked Lobos, scoring in the season-opening Lobo Invitational as the team's No. 3 runner (sixth overall)...No. 8 runner (32nd overall) for the champion Lobos at the MWC meet...Academic All-MWC.

2008-09: (outdoor) Ranked 3rd on the team and 8th in the MWC in the 5,000 with a top time of 16:52.16 at Cal (April 25)...missed the NCAA regional qualifying standard by just 0.16 seconds...earned all-MWC honors with a bronze medal performance (17:07.46) in the 5K at the highest Division I track stadium in the country in Laramie, Wyo...3 top-3 finishes in her 6 races...Academic All-MWC and MWC Scholar-Athlete Award winner...(indoor) Competed once, running a 3,000 at Washington...(cross country) Did not compete.

FLORIDA STATE:

Attended Florida State University from 2004-08...hampered by injuries her final two seasons in Tallahassee, but was a 2005 NCAA Championships individual qualifier (127th place) and two-time all-NCAA South Region (7th in '05; 9th in `04) cross country runner, and an all-ACC honoree in the 10,000m on the track...finished 132nd (3rd on the team) to help the Seminoles place 21st at the 2006 NCAA Cross Country Championships...led the team in all 6 XC meets in '05 and was first or second on the team in every meet as a freshman...first FSU athlete to earn ACC Outdoor Track & Field Rookie of the Year Accolades in 2005...3rd in the 10,000 (35:17.22) and 6th in the 5,000 (16:47.72) at the '05 ACC Championships...personal best of 16:40.42 in the 5,000 at the '05 NCAA East Region Championships...redshirted the 2006 indoor/outdoor track seasons.

HIGH SCHOOL:

A 2003 graduate of C. Leon King High School in Tampa, Fla...two-time class 3A state cross country champion and captured the state 3,200m crown as a junior...2nd in the 3,200 as a senior...32nd at the 2003 Foot Locker National Cross Country Championships.

PERSONAL:

Born in Temple Terrace, Fla...daughter of Richard and Theresa Bowerman...dad, Richard, was her high school coach and a former cross country and track All-American at Wabash College...has a younger brother Jonathan...pursuing her master's in Sports Administration.
