2005: (outdoor) Surged into the NCAA Championships javelin field after a dramatic two weeks of competition late in the season...he had competed just three times in the first two months and entered the MWC Championships as the No. 6 seed with a top throw of 191-04...notched a mark of 194 in the MWC prelims before launching the javelin a career-best and NCAA regional qualifying distance of 211-05 to win the event by 6 inches...became the first Lobo to win the javelin at the conference meet since 1991 and just the second UNM winner since 1972...strained his hamstring at the MWC meet and pulled the muscle completed on his first throw at the NCAA Midwest Regionals...still placed seventh at the meet (197-04) to become the second UNM man to finish in the top-8 at regionals, joining Matt Gonzales (1,500m - 2003)...finished two spots shy of the automatic berth, but was given an at-large berth to become the first Lobo javelin thrower since 1969 to advance to the NCAA Championships...turned in a courageous performance at the national meet, placing 15th in the prelims with a throw of 197-11...recorded his second-best mark of the year and was just three spots shy of making the finals despite dragging his injured, black-and-blue leg on each attempt...Academic All-MWC honoree...

2004: (outdoor) Took a redshirt season while recovering from elbow surgery...

2003: (outdoor) Surpassed the NCAA regional qualifying mark in all four meets, but chronic pain in his shoulder forced him to drop out of the Midwest Regional field...top throw of 206-09 was good for second in the MWC...placed seventh in the B Section of the Texas Relays with a mark of 205-09...academic all-MWC honoree...

2002: (outdoor) Competed in just four meets, but showed outstanding potential in the javelin...finished 3rd and picked up all-MWC honors with his team-best throw of 206-06.00 at the outdoor championships...owned three of the Lobos' top-five marks in the event this year...
