Day one - May 12, 2011
2011 Indoor: Competed at six meets...Opened the season with a sixth-place finish in the shot put at the Lobo Open, hurling 30'-10.25" (9.40m)...Competed in the long jump, high jump, 60m dash, and shot put at the Cherry & Silver Invitational...Won the pole vault at the New Mexico Invitational, vaulting 15'-1.25" (4.62m)...Competed in the heptathlon at the New Mexico Classic & Multis, earning eighth (4831 points) and tying for first in the pole vault with a mark of 16'-0.75" (4.90m)...Participated in three events at the Don Kirby Invitational, finalling in two and placing third in the high jump with a mark of 5'-10.75" (1.80m)...Competed in the heptathlon at the MWC Indoor Championships, earning fourth overall (5002) and snagging a pair of second-place finishes in the long jump and pole vault.
2011 Outdoor: Competed at six meets...Started the season at the Arizona State Invitational with a ninth-place finish in the long jump, leaping 22'-7.75" (6.90m)...Competed in three events at the New Mexico Tailwind Invitational, earning tenth in the 110m hurdles (15.89s), 15th in the discus throw (101'9"/31.01m), and seventh in the high jump (4'-9.75"/1.74m)...Participated in three events at the UTEP Invitational, including ninth in the discus throw (110'/33.53m), 13th in the long jump (20'-8.5"/6.31m), seventh in the shot put (36'-4.25"/11.08m). Competed in three events at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational, placing ninth in the 110m hurdles (15.96s), fourth in the long jump (20'-6.25"/6.25m), and seventh in the pole vault (14'11"/4.55m)...Competed in the decathlon at the MWC Outdoor Championships, earning seventh overall (good for 5436 points), while also earning second in the long jump, pole vault,100m dash,and400m dash.
2010 Indoor: Partcipated at six meets, all in the pole vault...Finished second at his first indoor meet as a Lobo, with a 15'7" (4.75m) mark at the Lobo Opener...Reached the same mark, 15'1" (4.60m), at three straight meets, earning third at the Lobo Challenge, tenth at the New Mexico Invitational, and 15th at the New Mexico Classic & Multis...Posted another 15'7" (4.75m) result at the Air Force Invitational, good for fifth...Notched an 11th-place finish at the MWC Indoor Championships with a season-best 16'-0.75" (4.90m) mark.
2010 Outdoor: Competed in the pole vault at five different meets...scored at the MWC Championships with a mark of 16-4.75 making it the second best mark of all Lobos for the 2010 season...tied for 1st with fellow Lobo Kyle Walker in his first outdoor meet of the season with a mark of 16-00.75.
2009 Indoor: Participated at four meets in the pole vault, all unattached...Won the Lobo Opener with a mark of 14'-1.25" (4.30m)...Posted a sixth-place finish at the New Mexico Invitational, reaching 15'1" (4.60m)...Notched a mark of 14'9" (4.50m) at the New Mexico Classic.
2009 Outdoor: Competed in three meets, all in the pole vault and all with the result of 14'-1.25" (4.30m)...Finished tied for first at the New Mexico Tailwind Invitational, fourth at the Rio Rancho HS Invite, and fourth at the Don Kirby Ivitational.
A 2008 graduate of Albuquerque's Cibola High School and a three-year letterwinner for head coach Kenny Henry...2nd in the pole vault at the 5A state meet as a senior with a jump of 14-09.00...helped Cibola win the 2008 team title and 2007-08 district 2-5A titles...lettered two years in football and earned first team all-district honors...first team all-academic honoree...
