Veteran runner who has been a solid contributor for the Lobos during his career...primarily a middle distance man, but can also step up to run a 3K or 5K...excels in the classroom posting a 4.05 GPA in Electrical Engineering last year...two-time MWC Scholar-Athlete Award winner and a two-time Academic All-MWC honoree in track...was one of 320 from a national field of 1,091 selected as a Goldwater Scholar in 2005...Goldwater Scholar candidates have to be nominated by their university faculty...also named a Department of Homeland Security Scholar in 2004...

2004-05: (outdoor) Made four meet appearances and doubled in the 800 and 1,500 at UTEP, the Mesa (Ariz.) Classic and at home in the Don Kirby Invite...four top-10 finishes, including third in the 1,500 in Mesa...Scholar-Athlete Award winner and Academic all-MWC...(indoor) Competed at Northern Arizona, placing second in the mile and sixth in the 3,000...(cross country) Competed in the first two meets of the year...ran 10th on the team in the home-opener and was the Lobos' ninth man at New Mexico State...
