UNM indoor 60-meter record holder and the team's top 100m runner over the past 3 years...earned all-MWC honors as a true freshman in 2005 in the 100 and with the 4x100m relay team...has also developed into a strong member of the 4x400 team as well...slowed by injuries last year, but is one of the top short sprinters in the MWC and a regional qualifying threat when healthy...is a perfect 3-0 in the 100m at home...has indoor/outdoor redshirt seasons available...also a tremendous performer in the classroom...3-time Academic all-MWC and MWC Scholar-Athlete awards with a 3.80 cumulative GPA (Elementary Education major)...first name is pronounced krist-ANNE...a second generation Lobo track & field standout...dad, René, was one of New Mexico's finest sprinters, earning All-America honors in the 100-yard dash and as part of the 440y relay team in 1966...he was also a member of 4 Western Athletic Conference champion relay teams and played a year of football for the Lobos before being drafted by the Dallas Cowboys as a wide receiver in 1969...he anchored the school record-setting 440y relay team and shares the fastest 100y time ever recorded at UNM...René also the founded the UNM Track & Field Club in 2006.

2007: (outdoor) Led the team in the 100 (13th MWC), winning the event with a season-best time of 12.05 (altitude adjusted) at the Don Kirby Invite in Albuquerque...3rd on the team in the 200 (24.83)...ran on both the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams as well...10th in the 100m prelims and helped the 4x100 relay team place 5th at the MWC Championships...10 individual races and 6 relay races on the year...Academic All-MWC and MWC Scholar-Athlete Award winner...(indoor) Broke a 7-year-old school record in her first 60-meter race of the winter with a time of 7.60 (altitude adjusted) in the prelims of the TCR Invitational on Feb. 9...time ranked 6th in the MWC...finished 9th in the 60m prelims at the MWC Championships, missing the finals by two-thousandths (0.002) of a second (7.69)...came back to run a gutsy 2nd leg of the 4x400 relay, collapsing on the track as she handed off the baton...her effort helped UNM clock a school record time of 3:47.66 (6th)...ranked 3rd on the team in the 200 (career-best 25.13)...6 individual races on the season.

2006: (outdoor) Led the team and ranked 5th in the MWC in the 100 with a career-best time of 11.79*, which she recorded in a 4th place finish at the MWC Championship meet...ran under 12 seconds in the 100 3 times...also clocked the Lobos' 2nd-fastest (10th MWC) 200m time, recording a career-best of 24.42* in the prelims at the MWC meet...moved up 3 spots in the MWC finals, finishing 5th (24.43*)...also helped the 4x100 team finish 4th and the 4x400 team place 6th to earn MWC high-point honors for the UNM women...competed in 12 individual and 8 relay races in 7 meets during the season...recorded 9 top-5 finishes as an individual...won the 100 at the Don Kirby Invite in Albuquerque where she helped the 4x100 relay team clock a time of 46.09* - the fastest at UNM since 2000...Academic All-MWC and MWC Scholar-Athlete Award winner...(indoor) Led the team (7th MWC) with a 60m time of 7.64 (altitude adjusted) in the prelims of the MWC Championships...finished 7th in the MWC finals (7.81*)...owned the team's No. 3 200m time (25.25)...4 top-8 finishes in 9 races, winning the 200 in the season-opener.

2005: (outdoor) Recorded the fastest 100m time by a Lobo in 4 years with a season-best 11.86* at home in Albuquerque...ranked 2nd on the team in the 200 with a time of 24.52...became the first UNM woman to earn all-MWC honors in the 100, placing 3rd (11.92)...finished 8th in the 200 (25.65) after clocking a season-best 24.52 in the prelims and came back to lead the 4x100 relay team to an all-MWC finish for the first time since 2000...5 top-3 finishes on the year, including wins in the 200 at the Mesa Classic and 100 at the Don Kirby Invite...Academic All-MWC and MWC Scholar-Athlete Award winner...(indoor) Lobos' No. 1 60m runner with a time of 7.77 (altitude adjusted)...9th place in the MWC prelims...clocked the team's 3rd-fastest 200 (25.49) in the MWC prelims as well (T12th)...placed 3rd in the 55m dash at Texas Tech.

HIGH SCHOOL:

A 2004 graduate of San Diego area Mt. Carmel High School...four-year letterwinner in track & field, under coaches Murali Smanathan and Nathan Boyer...clocked school record time of 12.02 in the 100 as a senior...also had PRs of 25.2 in the 200 and 58-second split in the 400...named team MVP in 2004 and 2002, and was the Sundevils' Rookie of the Year in 2001...team captain as a junior and senior...led Mt. Carmel to a second place finish in the Avocado League in 2004...was on the honor roll all four years and a San Diego Union Tribune Scholars honoree in 2003 and 2004...Scholar Athlete Award winner in 2004.
