Two-time defending Mountain West outdoor shot put champion who has established herself as perhaps the finest all-around thrower in UNM women's history...owns both indoor and outdoor records in the event and is a three-time all-Mountain West Conference honoree (indoors/outdoors) in the shot put...has improved by over eight feet in the event since her freshman year...she and the late Darren Crawford (1989-90) are the only back-to-back outdoor conference shot put champions in the history of the UNM men's and women's programs...an outstanding competitor who has enjoyed some of her best performances in big meet situations...coaches believe she is primed to make an impact on the national stage in her final season in the shot put ring...has also held records in the indoor weight throw and discus during her career...10 career outdoor victories, including eight in the shot put...owns a win in the shot put and weight throw indoors...an exemplary student-athlete who has also earned academic all-MWC honors each of the past three years, remarkably while balancing her responsibilities as mother to 6-year-old daughter Sable...honored by the UNM Athletic Department as the 2003-04 Leslie Self Inspirational Award winner.

2004: (outdoor) Captured her second straight MWC shot put title and smashed her own school record by 18 inches with a mark of 50-11.00 in Las Vegas...surpassed the regional qualifying standard seven times during the season and entered the Midwest Regional Championships ranked No. 7 in the event...ended her junior season with a ninth place at the regional meet in College Station, Texas, posting a mark of 48-10.75 on her first and only legal throw...finished with three victories during the spring, all coming in the shot put...was also ranked among the MWC's top-10 in the discus...briefly owned the school record with a throw of 151-08 at the Don Kirby Invitational in Albuquerque before being passed by teammate Jamie Fishencord two weeks later...Academic All-MWC for the third straight year...(indoor) Upped her school record in the shot put by over two feet at the MWC Championships to become the first UNM woman ever to earn indoor all-conference honors in the event...top mark of 49-03.50 was good for third at the MWC meet...swept the shot put and weight throw at Northern Arizona to notch the first indoor victories of her career...winning weight throw mark of 53-09.75 was the second-best on the team.

2003: (outdoor) Team-leader in both the shot put and discus as a sophomore...surpassed the NCAA regional qualifying mark in the shot put six times, including a mark of 48-06.25 (a UNM record at the time) to capture the MWC crown...squeezed by CSU senior Hannah Metzler by 0.75 inches and surpassed defending champ Andrea Batt of Wyoming by nearly a foot to become the first female thrower in program history to win a conference title...finished 13th in the shot put at the Midwest Regionals with a toss of 45-11.75...recorded a season-best discus mark of 137-04 and PR of 147-08 in the hammer throw at UTEP Twilight meet...won five events on the year, including a sweep of the shot, discus and hammer to lead the UNM women to a dual meet victory over UTEP at the Miners' Springtime Invitational...Academic All-MWC honoree...(indoor) Notched the Lobos' top marks in the shot put and weight throw...finished sixth in the shot put at the MWC Championships with a mark of 47-00.25 and tied for 13th in the weight throw with a toss of 49-09.25...both marks were school records at the time.

2002: (outdoor) Led the team and was ranked sixth in the MWC in the shot as a true freshman...top throw of 46-08.75 was good for fifth at the MWC Championships...won the shot put at both the UTSA Relays and Don Kirby Invitational...owned three of UNM's top-five marks in the discus, including a top throw of 134-07...Academic All-MWC honoree...(indoor) Became the first UNM woman ever to compete in the weight throw...recorded top mark of 42-10.75 at the MWC Championships...No. 2 on the team with top shot put mark of 42-06.75.


Two-time New Mexico state champion (2000-01) in the shot put at Carlsbad (N.M.) High School...set school record in the event with a mark of 44-06...state runner-up in 1999 and district champion from 1999-2001...six-year letterwinner in track and field at CHS, under head coach Mike Maldonado...also lettered five years and was an all-district selection in basketball...member of the National Honor Society and graduated in the top 10 percent of her class.
