THIS SEASON: A very talented player who has every shot in the bag...very experienced having played in 20 tournaments in his first two years, including two NCAA Regionals...decided to redshirt last season to get his scholastic and athletic careers on the same five-year track...member of the ASUNM student senate...recipient of the Francisco and Alberta Urrea Golf Scholarship.
2007-08 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the 2007-08 season as a redshirt...honored at the Lobo Academic Banquet for having over a 3.2 grade-point-average.
2006-07 (SOPHOMORE): Saw action in 12 events, all with the varsity team, including the NCAA Championships...sat out three tournaments late in the season, but came back to post low numbers in the NCAA West regional...low 18 was a 69 in the opening round of the NCAA West Regionals...shot a season low 219 at the NCAA West Regionals...One of 28 players to qualify for both the U.S. Amateur and U.S. Pub Links...Finished third at the Sun Country Amateur...Academic All-MWC.
2005-06 (FRESHMAN): Played in 10 tournaments and the Hooters Match Play event...five top-30 finishes, including one top-10...posted the second lowest scoring average at 73.30, which was the best by a UNM freshman since Michael Letzig (1999-00)...low 18 with the varsity was a 68 in the second round of the John Burns Intercollegiate...low 18 was a back-to-back 66's in the first and second rounds of the Pioneer Classic with the JV squad...posted a perfect 3-0 record at the Hooters Collegiate Match Play Championships.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2005 graduate of Viewpoint School...2005 CIF Southern Section Finals qualifier...2003 Prep League MVP and individual champion...first team all-Prep League for four years...team MVP all four years...holds nine hole school record of 29 (par 34)...medalist at the 2005 California State Amateur Qualifier...won 2005 Ventura County Championship...second at 2003 AJGA PING Sunriver.
