Activities during the week at 2010 NCAA Ski Championships

New Mexico: Entering his first season as an assistant coach.

Sophomore (2009): NCAA qualifier in men's alpine ... Named RMISA men's Alpine Most Valuable Skier on the strength of six top-10 finishes and 10 top-16 finishes ... one of only 8 RMISA racers to finish every race ... competed in the 2009 Winter World University Games in Harbin, China placing 6th in the giant slalom and 7th in slalom ... tied career-best with 5th-place finish at the UAA giant slalom.

Freshman (2008): Earned All-America honors in the slalom at NCAA Championships with a 7th-place finish ... Placed 13th in the giant slalom at NCAAs ... Had career-best finishes of 5th-place in slalom (UNM and NCAA Regionals) and giant slalom (Western State and NCAA Regionals) ... Finished RMISA season ranked tied for 8th in slalom and tied for 10th in giant slalom ... Named RMISA Skier of the Week on Feb. 11 for performance at UNM Invitational ... Selected to RMISA Second Team ... Joined the team in January 2008.

Prior to UNM: Placed third at the Austrian Junior Nationals in slalom.

Personal: Born Oct. 25, 1985, in Schladming, Austria ... Son of Anton and Annemarie Schwab ... Last attended Shasch Schladming in Austria ... Has a sister, Birgit, and two brothers, Anton and Franz-Christoph ... Spent first two collegiate seasons finishing his duties with the Austrian Army ... Plans to major in Business.
