Following the completion of the 2006 season, Chelsea Robb was promoted to interim head coach as her mentor, Kelley McKee, resigned. She has been a member of the Lobo coaching staff for the last four seasons. Besides coaching, she serves as the program's recruiting coordinator.

"We are very excited and fortunate to have Chelsea in this program," says McKee. "With all of her hard work, she has definitely earned this position. She has taken the initiative since she got here in improving all aspects of our administration and conditioning efforts. She's earned the respect of our team, and she has done an excellent job as our recruiting coordinator."

Robbs focus as a coach falls on the outside hitters and defense coordinator. Robb's guidance led Nicole Ryan to post some of the highest attempt and kill totals in the Mountain West Conference in 2005.

Robb, a Northern Arizona alumnus, arrived at UNM after spending 2002-03 as the head coach for Flagstaff's High Altitude 18s club team. Prior to her stint as a club coach, Robb was a standout with the Lumberjack volleyball program.

At NAU, Robb earned honorable mention All-Big Sky honors three times. In 1999, under then NAU head coach Kelley McKee, Robb was named the Big Sky's Freshman of the Year. Her teams were conference champs in 1999 and again in 2000, making their first NCAA Volleyball Championship appearance in 1999.

Robb, 24, was a member of the Dean's List three years, named a Golden Eagle Scholar Athlete and received a degree in Health Promotion from NAU. She earned her master's degree in Sports Administration with Distinction from UNM in May of 2006.
