Ryan Stotland begins a new career at New Mexico after exhausting his eligibility as a student-athlete on the tennis team. Stotland will spend the 2005-06 season as an undergraduate assistant coach while he completes his three degrees.

SENIOR: Earned his fourth consecutive ITA Scholar Athlete, MWC Scholar Athlete and MWC all-academic team honors ... made the MWC all-singles team for the second straight year and MWC all-doubles team for the third consecutive year ... invited to the NCAA Doubles Championships for the second time ... earned the program's highest national ranking, starting the 2005 season at No. 3 with David Kowalski ... was the first to appear in the final match of a national tournament, making the finals of the 2004 ICY HOT/ITA All-American Championships with Kowalski ... embraced the leadership role and led the team in doubles wins (26-9) ... grabbed the region's top ranking with Kowalski in doubles after getting a No. 24 pre-season ranking ... ranked seventh in the region in singles to start the spring season, the highest of any Lobo ...had a huge win over the nation's No. 1 duo from Stanford ... is tied for third on UNM's all-time win list for doubles with a record of 86-38 ... is eighth in the singles book with a record of 74-38 ... is one of just five men to rank in the top-10 in both record books ... tied for seventh in the single season doubles record books for most wins (26 in 2004-05).

SOPHOMORE: Teamed with Brent Salazar to go 17-8 at No. 1 doubles ... duo earned a national ranking of 27th ... was invited to compete in the 2003 NCAA Championships in Atlanta, Ga. ... after a hard-fought 7-6 showing in the first set, fell 7-6, 6-2 to No. 4 seeded Scott Lipsky and David Martin of Stanford in the first round ... named to the All-Mountain West Conference doubles team ... was doubles champion of the Balloon Fiesta with Salazar ... also finished 17-8 in singles action ... competed at No. 3 (1-2), No. 4 (3-0), No. 5 (1-1) and No. 6 (0-1) singles in the spring ... beat three seeded players at Region VII Championships...named an ITA Scholar Athlete for maintaining a GPA of at least 3.5 ... garnered MWC All-Academic honors and made the honor roll.
