NEW MEXICO: Versatile team player who played both wide receiver and quarterback during his Lobo career and developed into an excellent special teams player...spent the bulk of his time at QB, but played WR in the spring and fall of 2006, then moved back to QB before returning to WR once again late in the 2009 spring practice season...outstanding athlete, combining great speed and power...showed flashes of being a fine receiver in 2006 and developed into a productive, reliable player in the slot in his final season...36 games (8 starts - all in 2009) in his career, primarily on special teams before his breakthrough senior campaign...saw his first offensive action (2 games at QB) early in 2008...set several QB records in the weight room and was the Lobos' most powerful WR as well...originally came to UNM as a walk-on, but was given a scholarship after his redshirt season in `05...did not see the field in 2007, but was a valuable scout team QB in 2007...graduated with a degree in Life Science Education in July of 2009 spent his senior season pursuing his master's in Education.

2009 (SENIOR): One of the Lobos' most valuable players, excelling on offense and all special teams...played in all 12 games (8 starts) and improved each week, becoming a dependable and explosive target in the passing game...35 catches (T-2nd on the team) - the first of his career - for 398 yards (33.2/game - 2nd on the team) and tied for the team-lead with 3 TDs...long of 45...averaged 11.4 yards/reception...came into his own in the final 9 games with 31 grabs for 370 yards and 3 TDs...also 4 rushing attempts for 27 yards (6.8 avg., long of 11)...continued to be a valuable special teams performer as well, particularly on punt and kick coverage where he led the special teams units with 12 tackles and recovered a fumble...also deflected a punt...three-time team captain...two-time offensive player of the game and spec. teams player of the game vs. San Diego State...voted co-Offensive Team Captain of the Year and Outstanding Special Teams Player by his teammates...Academic All-MWC honoree as well.

`09 HIGHLIGHTS:
vs. Colorado State...Set career-highs wth 6 catches for 62 yards, including a 12-yard TD on a 3rd down play...it was his 3rd straight game with a TD grab...2 catches to convert 3rd down plays...barrelled over a Ram DB early in the game on a 7-yard run.

at San Diego State...5 grabs for 55 yards with a long of 22...also had 1 tackles and deflected a punt on special teams.

vs. UNLV...Team-high 57 yards on 4 catches, including a long of 27...back-to-back grabs for 20 yards, converting a 3rd-and-8 play, to set up the Lobos' first TD on the opening drive of the 2nd half...also had 2 tackles in kick/punt coverage.

at Texas Tech...Season-high 4 catches for 49 yards and no drops...3 of his catches were good for 1st downs on 3rd or 4th down plays...picked up 13 on a 3rd-and-4, 16 on 3rd-and-10, and 6 yards on a 4th-and-3 play on the Lobos' 4th quarter TD drive...also threw a reverse pass to Daryl Jones that drew a pass interference penalty in the end zone, setting up the Lobos' 1st quarter TD.

vs. New Mexico State...Finished with 2 catches for 51 yards, including a long of 45 yards in the 3rd quarter...just missed a TD when he was tripped up at the Aggie 31.

2008 (JUNIOR): Appeared in all 12 games, primarily on special team, but saw the first offensive action in his career, playing quarterback late in the fourth quarter vs. TCU (week 1) and San Diego State (week 8)...no passing attempts...excellent work on special teams, recording 7 tackles and forcing a fumble as the gunner on punt and kick coverage.

2006 (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN): Played in 12 games on special teams.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2005 graduate of Denver Montbello where he was honorable mention all-league as a senior...threw for more than 1,600 yards...played for head coach Oliver Lucas...a member of the school's 4 x 200-meter relay team that took first in state in 2005...also on the Honor Roll.

PERSONAL: Born May 23, 1987, in Aurora, Colo...age is 22...son of Victor and Valerie...parents are both teachers...father was a wingback at the University of Colorado, lettering in 1980-81, and was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the 10th round in 1982.
