New Mexico vs. Colorado State

New Mexico hosted Colorado State in the season opener, won by the Rams 14-10.

NEW MEXICO: A two-year role players on special teams and defense for the Lobos ... has a great attitude and a strong work ethic ... a better understanding of the scheme will help him to anticipate more and earn more playing time on defense in 2013 ... provides valuable experience to a young defensive front seven ... a hard-nosed linebacker with great energy ... started to show flashes of his potential in the fall of 2011...is beginning to add applied knowledge to great football instincts.

2012 (SOPHOMORE): Played in all 13 games for the Lobos on defense and special teams ... finished with 10 tackles on the season, including one tackle for loss and one forced fumble ... best game came in the season opener against Southern when he matched his career high with three tackles, including two solos ... also had two solo tackles against New Mexico State on Sept. 22.

2011 (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN): Played in seven of the team's last eight games, both on defense and special teams ... recorded a career high three tackles against Air Force, playing double-digit snaps on defense ... made his first career tackle in the fourth quarter at TCU ... also had one kickoff return for 10 yards vs. New Mexico State.
