NEW MEXICO: Enticing talent and Academic All-Mountain West honoree who returned to outside linebacker after making the move to defensive end in 2011 ... appeared in 36 games during his Lobo career with 25 straight starts ... one of the most reliable and consistent players on defense for UNM ... one of just five players to start every game in 2011 ... possesses the most ability on the team to penetrate the opponent's backfield ... originally was a safety his true freshman season and was in the two-deep rotation when a torn ACL ended his year ... fully recovered from another torn ACL suffered in August of 2009 ... has appeared in some television roles as an extra during his time at UNM.

2012 (SENIOR): Started all 13 games at the outside linebacker/designated rush end position ... his 58 tackles ranked fifth on the team ... five tackles and a team-leading 1.5 tackles for loss in the season finale at Colorado State ... forced his first fumble of the season against the Wolf Pack when they were backed up on their own goal line late in the first half ... made five total tackles (two solo, three assisted) against Wyoming on Nov. 10 ... tied for second on the team with five total tackles (all assisted) against UNLV on Nov. 3 ... recorded four tackles (one solo, three assisted) against Fresno State on Oct. 27 ... made three solo tackles, including one for a loss, and assisted on two others against Air Force on Oct. 20 ... recovered his second fumble of the season at Hawaii on Oct. 13 ... recorded three tackles (two solo, one assist) against the Warriors ... recorded six tackles (four solo, two assisted), two of which were for a loss, against Texas State on Oct. 6 ... one of his tackles for a loss was his first sack of the season ... assisted on five tackles against No. 24 Boise State on Sept. 29 ... was third on the team in tackles at New Mexico State on Sept. 22, finishing with six (one solo, five assisted)... recorded three solo tackles and assisted on one other against Texas Tech ... assisted on one tackle against the 17th-ranked Texas Longhorns on Sept. 8 ... also recorded his first pass breakup of the season against Texas ... recorded one solo tackle and assisted on three others vs.. Southern ... picked up a fumble and returned it 15 yards for a touchdown vs.. Southern ... it was the Lobos' first defensive TD since Sept. 18, 2010.

2011 (JUNIOR): Started all 12 games at defensive end ... finished sixth on the team in tackles with 55...had four tackles for loss and one sack...led the team with four forced fumbles, to rank tied for 19th nationally...tallied a career-high 12 tackles with a tackle for loss and a forced fumble against Air Force in week eight...had eight tackles against No. 13 Arkansas in week two...seven tackles and a forced fumble against Sam Houston State in week four...made six tackles with two quarterback hurries and a fumble recovery against New Mexico State in week five.

2010 (SOPHOMORE): Played in 11 games as a sophomore...had 16 tackles in a back-up linebacker role...had a career-high six tackles at BYU including a TFL...finished the year with two TFL and a half sack against Wyoming...had at least one tackle in the last five games he played in.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2008 graduate of Denver George Washington High School...all-state linebacker as a senior when he totaled 139 tackles, 14 sacks, 6 interceptions, 4 forced fumbles and 3 fumble recoveries...a three-year starter at linebacker and running back for head coach Steve Finesilver...returned 2 interceptions and a fumble for TDs...also 1,300 yards rushing...the Colorado 5A state triple jump champ as a junior, helping the Patriots to the team title...had a 3.7 cumulative GPA.
