First name is pronounced ex-ZEEN-ya...joins younger sister Ira as freshmen at UNM...Xenia is 14 months older than Ira, however, the two sisters were in the same secondary school graduating class...the reason the sisters were in the same class is that Ira was able to skip 8th grade, going directly from 7th to 9th...Xenia won the state (Hessen) championship six of the past seven years...since 2007, Xenia has participated in the second-highest league in Germany as a member of the ladies team at Golfclub Kronberg.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2012 graduate of Heinrich von Kleist Schule in Eschborn, Germany...there is no competitive golf in German high schools.

PERSONAL: Born Jan. 21, 1993, in Wetzlar, Germany...daughter of Alfred and Barbara Knopf...has an older brother, Adrian...enjoys skiing...favorite athlete is German golfer Martin Kaymer, who won the 2010 PGA Championship at Whistling Straits.
