REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2012-13): Academic All-Conference... Played in every game for the Lobos after overcoming back-to-back seasons lost to knee injuries... Set a new career high in assists twice with six versus Wyoming (1-30-13) and Colorado State (2-23-13)... Scored a season-high 15 points at Nevada (2-2-13)... Played in 728 minutes of action, which included 26 starts... Played the role of "stat sheet stuffer" finishing fourth in scoring, second in assists, third in rebounding and third in steals on the team... Finished among the top 15 in the conference in assists... Opened the season with six-straight double-digit point games.

REDSHIRT-JUNIOR (2011-12): Re-injured knee during preseason and forced to sit out the entire year. Received a second-straight medical redshirt.

JUNIOR (2010-11): Missed the 2010-11 season with a knee injury suffered during the preseason.

SOPHOMORE (2009-10): Finished second on the team in scoring and rebounding with 10.2 points and 4.9 boards per game... Reached double figures 16 times... Has started 30 of 32 games... Had her first career double-double against Air Force with 14 points and a career-high 11 rebounds... Dished out a career-high four assists against New Mexico State... Third on team with 28 steals.

FRESHMAN (2008-09): Played in 36 games while making 10 starts as a true freshman... Tied for fourth on the team in scoring with 5.6 points per game... Ranked 13th all-time at UNM in freshman scoring... Scored a career-high 17 points on 7-of-16 shooting against Oregon State in the postseason WNIT... Hit double figures six times... COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The University of New Mexico Women's Basketball program continues its strong showing the Mountain West Conference's various academic awards. Three Lobos were named Mountain West Scholar-Athletes, which came days after a conference-high ten Lobos received academic all-conference honors.

Caroline Durbin (Business Administration), Chinyere Nnaji (Biology) and Whitney Johnson (Business Administration) all received the award for a second-straight year. Durbin and Nnaji, both seniors, have now received this award in all four years as members of the program.

The three award winners for the 2012-13 academic year marks the tenth-straight year New Mexico Women's Basketball has had at least three scholar-athletes. Since the award was created by the Mountain West in 2003-04, UNM Women's Hoops has amassed 51 MW Scholar-Athletes.

Just like the Mountain West Academic All-Conference awards, New Mexico Athletics led all conference members with 132 scholar-athletes.

Ten Lobos Earn Academic All-Conference Honors

The Mountain West Conference released its spring Academic All-Conference teams on Thursday afternoon, and University of New Mexico Women's Basketball shined in the report with ten Lobos garnering honors. New Mexico led all Mountain West programs with ten academic all-conference award winners.

The ten academic all-conference honorees tie the second-most award winners in program history. Since joining the Mountain West Conference in 1999, Lobo Women's Basketball have now had a total of 107 Academic All-Mountain West performers.

Coach Sanchez and company's showing in the academic all-conference award list was part of department-wide success by New Mexico Athletics. UNM, as an athletic department, placed 111 spring student-athletes on the academic all-conference list. The 111 honorees led all Mountain West institutions for the spring semester.
