SOPHOMORE: Played in 53 games and started in 48 for the Lobos...collected seven doubles and five homeruns...third on the team with 21 RBIs...tied with Robyn Hutson in walks (14)...as a pitcher, finished 10-10 with a team leading 2.28 ERA...pitched in 162.2 innings and had a team high of 122 strikeouts...ranked 5th all-time with 75 appearances for her career...also moved up to 8th all-time with 220 strikeouts for her two years as a Lobo...had an outstanding conference tournament pitching in 16 innings giving up only two runs, two hits and striking out 12 batters.

HIGH SCHOOL: A five-year varsity letterwinner in softball at Carlsbad High School...named the 2002 Gatorade Player of the Year...helped team to back-to-back state championships...was first team all-district three straight years...named to the Las Cruces All-Tournament Team in 1999...holds the Carlsbad High School record for most strikeouts in a single game and most strikeouts in a single season...named the Albuquerque Journal All-Star pitcher in 2001...won the Jim Sams Award in 2001.

PERSONAL: Born Iraina Renee Ogas on Dec. 7, 1983 in Carlsbad, N.M....has two siblings, a brother, Allen and a sister, Sonya...related to LPGA golfer, Nancy Lopez...her greatest softball moment so far was her senior year when her team won the state tournament for the second year in a row...is planning to major in physical education.
