Circle K Teacher of the Season

For the second year in a row, the University of New Mexico men's basketball program will be recognizing area educators with the Circle K Teacher of the Season award. Presented by Lobo Sports Properties and Circle K, the Teacher of the Season recognizes full-time elementary, middle school and high school teachers and counselors from the state of New Mexico.

Beginning with the Lobos' Dec. 8 game against San Diego, a different teacher or counselor will be recognized on the court before each men's basketball home game. Each educator will also receive four tickets to the game.

A Circle K Teacher of the Season will be randomly selected from the winners throughout the season and recognized at New Mexico's final home game against UNLV on March 4, 2008. The Teacher of the Season will also receive a $1,000 cash prize courtesy of Circle K for his or her efforts in educating New Mexico's youth.
