*Craig Neal is now 6-1 as a head coach with New Mexico, and he is 1-0 on the road.

*New Mexico leads the all-time series with New Mexico State 116-95.

                -UNM leads in Albuquerque 71-37, including 35-13 in The Pit

                -New Mexico State leads in Las Cruces 58-44

*New Mexico has won six straight against New Mexico State in the Pan Am Center, tying the longest UNM winning streak in Las Cruces.  UNM won six straight from 1925-31, winning twice in 1925, 1927 and 1931

*Craig Neal became just the third coach in UNM history to win six of his first seven games, as Norm Ellenberger went 9-0, and Steve Alford went 7-0.

*Neal also became the first coach since Gary Colson in 1980 to win in his first attempt against New Mexico State.

*Cameron Bairstow set a career-high with 19 field goal attempts in the game.  His previous high was 16, set earlier this year in double overtime against UAB.

*Kendall Williams broke the 20 point mark for the fourth time this season and for the second straight game with 24 points.

*New Mexico has now hit a three-point shot in 735 consecutive games.  The last without a make was when UNM went 0-for-8 on January 3, 1991 against Colorado State.

*Kendall Williams had his free throw streak snapped at 18 when he missed his second attempt of the game.  He also missed on his 9th attempt of the game, marking the first time this season he has had multiple misses in the same game.  Earlier in the season Williams had a string of 22 straight without a miss as well.
