New Mexico is on a season-best five game winning streak, and on the strength of that, the Lobos are now receiving votes in both polls.  The Lobos are tied for 35th in the AP Poll with three points, and the team is tied for 31st in the USA Today/Coaches Poll with nine points.

The Lobos have receivied votes every week.  Other UNM opponents that are ranked are San Diego State (10/11), Kansas (15/18), UMass (16/15), and Cincinnati (19/23).
