ATLANTA, GA. --- Cameron Bairstow was honored by the Atlanta Tip-Off Club today as he was named to the Naismith Top 30 list for national Player of the Year.  It is the third official national Player of the Year list for Bairstow, as he is also on the Wooden List and the Robertson Watch List.

Bairstow is currently second in the Mountain West in scoring (20.2 points per game), and he is one of five players in the NCAA that is averaging 20 points per game after averaging single digits last year.  On Wednesday in Boise, Bairstow became the 31st player in school history to break the 1,000-point mark.

He played for Australia in the World University Games, leading his country in scoring, rebounding and blocks, and finishing second in assists.  He led the Australia to its first ever medal in international competition, as they finished second.  Cam scored a game-high 22 points in a win over the United States.
