ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The University of New Mexico men’s basketball schedule continues to take shape for the 2014-15 season with the announcement of the match-ups for the 2014 ESPN Puerto Rico Tip-Off. ESPN has revealed the bracket for November’s tournament, and New Mexico will open the tournament against the Boston College Eagles on Thursday, November 20 at 3 p.m. (MST) on ESPN2.
The Lobos and the Eagles are the only match-up to be broadcasted on ESPN 2 on the first day of action with all other games being carried by ESPNU. New Mexico and Boston College are on the same side of the bracket as George Mason and West Virginia. The rest of the tournament field includes defending national champion UConn, Dayton, Texas A&M and the College of Charleston. All games will be broadcasted on the ESPN family of networks.
It will be just the second meeting ever between the two programs. UNM faced Boston College in the 76 Classic in Anaheim, Calif. during the 2011-12 season.
The ESPN Puerto Rico Tip-off is scheduled for November 20, 21 and 23 at the Coliseo Roberto Clemente in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
