Streaks and trends

*New Mexico won 72-69 in overtime over Wyoming, improving to 11-3 and 2-0 in Mountain West play.

*UNM has now won seven straight against Wyoming, the longest win streak in the series for either team.

*UNM now leads the all-time series 65-64.

*UNM is now 2-0 in overtime this season, and 4-1 in overtime games in Laramie against Wyoming.  The Lobos are 4-2 all-time against Wyoming in OT.

 In-Game Notes

*The Lobos went on their fourth-best run of the season, as they had an 11-0 run, taking the game from 10-7 Wyoming to 18-10 Lobos.  UNM’s best run this year was a 16-0 run vs. Charleston Southern.  The 11-0 took 3:26 on the clock.

*UNM shot just two free throws in the first half.  The team entered the game having shot at least 24 in each of the last eight games.

*At the half, New Mexico’s coaching staff had the officials measure the rim they would be shooting at because it looked high.  Officials measured the rim and it was approximately three inches too high.

*New Mexico scored 22 points off the bench, the second-most bench points this year behind 26 against Alabama A&M.

*UNM is now 10-0 when leading at the half, and 10-0 when shooting at least 40% from the field.

*The five offensive rebounds allowed (out of 28) was the lowest allowed this season.

*Five players had at least two assists

 Head Coach Craig Neal

*Craig Neal is now 11-3 as a head coach with New Mexico, and he is 2-1 in road games.  He is also 2-0 in Mountain West play

Senior F Cameron Bairstow

*Was the leading scorer for the eighth time this season.

 Sophomore G Cleveland Thomas

*Went 4-for-4 in overtime and scored 12 points, a career-high.  He scored five points in regulation and seven in overtime

Senior G Kendall Williams

*Scored 10 points to give him double-figures in all 14 games this season. 

*Kendall also had a season-high four steals.

 RS Junior C Alex Kirk

*Had four blocked shots, including one with under 20 seconds left on a lay-up attempt by Riley Grabau that basically won the game for UNM.

*Had12 points and a game-high eight rebounds.

 Sophomore Nick Banyard

 *Hit two free throws in the first half, his first attempts since the Kansas game on December 14, 2013.
