The Lobos welcomed schools to their home turf in Red River, N.M. The meet was the only home event of the season for UNM
Senior (2013): Named Third Team Capital One Academic All-America (graduated with a degree in psychology, 4.08 GPA)...First Team All-District VII...made her fourth trip to the NCAA Championships - her second with New Mexico, finishing 20th in the slalom and 22nd in the giant slalom....had four top-10 finishes, all in the slalom...led the team and placed a career-best third place in the slalom at the CU Invite on Jan. 9...finished 10th in RMISA MVP standings with 346...2012-13 Mountain West Scholar-Athlete.
Junior (2012): Earned All-Academic Ski Team honors from the United States Collegiate Ski Coaches Association and Lobo Scholar-Athlete honors...named co-Team MVP for Alpine women...was a consistent competitor for the Lobos, recording five top-20, and three top-10, finishes...placed 10th in the giant slalom at the RMISA Alpine Qualifer #1 on Jan. 6...took 14th in the giant slalom and sixth in the slalom at the CU Invitational/Spencer Nelson Memorial Jan. 11 and 12...placed seventh in the slalom at the University of Denver Invitational...claimed eighth place in the giant slalom at the Alaska Anchorage Invitational on Feb. 8...finished 12th in the giant slalom at the Seawolf Invitational on Feb. 9...took 13th in the giant slalom at NCAA Qualifier on Feb. 23...took 12th place in the giant slalom and 11th in the slalom at RMISA Championships/NCAA West Regional Feb. 24-25...placed 30th in the giant slalom at NCAA Championships on March 8...claimed 20th in the slalom at NCAA Championships.
Prior to UNM: Started racing at age 4 with Team Summit in Summit County, Colo.,...earned the NAASF Foundation Scholarship...participated in the Trofeo Topolino - 13th slalom...took part in J-2 Nationals, SG - Silver...earned the SSWSC Ned Garner Award...skied in USSA RMD Governor's Cup...was part of the Colorado All Stars Team 2007-2012...was a member of the RMD Regional Team...was a member the University of Denver ski team her freshman and sophomore seasons...two-time NCAA qualifier...two time Academic All-American.
Personal: Born in South Kingston, Rhode Island...daughter of Dressel and David Hostetter...graduated in 2009 from Steamboat Springs High School in Steamboat Springs, Colo....hobbies include hiking, mountain biking, rafting, paddle boarding, and everything outdoors...favorite athlete is David Beckham...favorite food is cookies.
