LaMar Bratton Named to Rimington Spring Watch List

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – University of New Mexico center LaMar Bratton has been named to the 2014 Rimington Award Spring Watch List, the Rimington Trophy Committee announced Monday.

Bratton a 6-foot, 281-pound senior from Riverside, Calif., takes over the position for the graduated Dillon Farrell, who is in training camp with the San Francisco 49ers.

Bratton is a two-time All-Mountain West honorable mention performer and led the team in knockdown blocks in 2013 with 148 in 855 snaps.

He has started all 37 games of his Lobo career, the last two seasons at left guard. Bratton started 12 games at center his freshman season in 2011, and he made a spot start at center in 2013 against Pittsburgh.

Going up against first-round draft pick Aaron Donald, Bratton led the team with 13 knockdown blocks.
