ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.—The University of New Mexico football team’s Nov. 8 home game against Air Force will air on ESPNU, the Mountain West said in a news release on Tuesday.
The Friday game is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Branch Field at University Stadium. UNM last played on ESPNU on Sept. 10, 2011 at Arkansas. That game marked the first time that New Mexico was on an ESPN television network since its 23-0 win over Nevada in the New Mexico Bowl on Dec. 22, 2007 (on ESPN).
The Lobos are 11-15 all-time on ESPN-affiliated networks.
ESPNU reaches 73.9 million homes, and can be seen on channel 208 on DirecTV, channel 281 on Comcast and channel 141 on Dish Network in Albuquerque.
Broadcast details for the Mountain West package on CBS Sports Network, as well as additional telecasts on the ESPN networks, will be announced at a later date. CBS Sports Network remains the primary rights holder for the Mountain West.
ESPN is the second MW national television rights holder for Conference-controlled football games. Additional networks, broadcasts and kick times will be announced as they become available.
