Lobo Football vs. Boise State

The Lobos host the Boise State Broncos on Sept. 29, 2012 in the Mountain West opener for both schools.

NEW MEXICO:A diminutive athlete whose ability to run in the open field earned him playing time as a true freshman in 2012 ... found a spot on the offense as an explosive runner from the wide receiver position in the pistol-option offense ... will use 2013 to continue to pick up nuances of the offense to earn more playing time ... also competes in track and field for UNM, finishing fourth in the 200 meters at the Mountain West Indoor Championships with a time of 21.77 seconds ... named Academic All-Mountain West in 2012 as a true freshman.

2012 (TRUE FRESHMAN):Played in all 13 games ... finished the season with 18 carries for 141 yards and two touchdowns ... also had nine receptions for 83 yards ... had two receptions for 24 yards in the season finale vs. Colorado State, including a career-long 15-yarder ... carried the ball twice for 31 yards against Wyoming on Nov. 10 ... had a career-long 25-yard rush in the third quarter against the Cowboys ... set new career-highs in both rushing yards (34) and carries (four) against UNLV on Nov. 3 ... scored the second touchdown of his career on a 5-yard run with 8:18 remaining in the third quarter against the Rebels ... caught two passes for nine yards at Air Force on Oct. 20 ... returned three kicks against Hawai'i on Oct. 13 for 59 yards, including a career-long 27-yard return in the second quarter ... carried the ball once against the Warriors for 10 yards to set a new career-high in all purpose yards with 69 ... had a 20-yard run in his only carry against New Mexico State on Sept. 22 ... caught one pass against the Aggies and took it 14 yards ... led the Lobos with a career-best three receptions at Texas Tech, totaling 33 yards ... two carries at No. 17 Texas on Sept. 8 and made his first career reception ... also returned the first three kicks of his career against the Longhorns, totaling 44 yards with a long of 25 ... made his collegiate debut against Southern on Sept. 1 and scored his first career touchdown on a seven-yard run with 14:56 remaining in the fourth quarter ... he finished the game with two carries for 11 yards.

HIGH SCHOOL: A versatile speedster and three-year letter winner for Plano West and coach Mike Hughes, moving from wide receiver to running back his senior season ... named Texas' District 8-5A Offensive Player of the Year ... rushed for 1,366 yards with 15 TDs in 2011, stringing together five straight 100-yard games during the season ... also had 20 receptions for 130 yards ... in 2010, he finished with 20 receptions for 450 yards (a 22.5-yard average per catch) and 2 TDs, as well as a rushing TD and kickoff return for a TD ... his high school coach said he developed into one of the team leaders who practices as hard as he plays ... also ran track, a four-year letterman, for Plano West ... recorded a 10.77-second 100-meter time in 2010 ... ran the 200 in 21.72 seconds in 2011.
