Joe Franklin's Lobos are traveling to Louisville, Ky., to take on the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
The Lobos' women cross country team is heading to Louisville, while the men must wait to know if they've advanced.
The nationally ranked Lobos just need to run well and stay healthy to advance to the NCAA Championships
The Lobos swept the team titles at the MW Championships. The women won their 4th-straight and the men their 5th-straight.
2012: Ran five times for the Lobos, including all three postseason meets ... Opened at the Notre Dame Invitational, placing 92nd with a 24:57 time over the 5-mile course ... Raced to a 24:51 time at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational, placing 214th ... Claimed 17th at the Mountain West Championships, finishing 17th with a 25:01.38 time ... His time of 31:45.9 took 52nd at the NCAA Mountain Regional Championships ... Scored at the NCAA Championships with his 223rd-place time of 32:06.6.
2011: Competed unattached at two meets, the Lobo Invitational (34th, 26:50.6) and the Kachina Classic (11th, 26:21)
Lettered in both cross country and track and field for four years for coach Mike Meeks at Coronado High School...District champion four years in a row...Named a state qualifier his last three years in high school...Holds his school record in the 1600m (4:24), the 3200m (9:25), the 3 mile (14:43), the 5K (14:55)...Foot Locker Finalist in 2010...Named to the All-Academic Team all four years of high school.
