Joe Franklin's cross country and track & field teams showed some talent as they racked up the honors and the championships in the 2012-13 season.

Joe Franklin's Lobos are traveling to Louisville, Ky., to take on the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
The Lobos' women cross country team is heading to Louisville, while the men must wait to know if they've advanced.
The Lobos swept the team titles at the MW Championships. The women won their 4th-straight and the men their 5th-straight.
2012: Emerged as the Lobos' No. 4 runner as the season wore on ... Opened her season with a 17:28 clocking over 5 kilometers at the Notre Dame Invitational ... Took 161st at the highly competitive Wisconsin adidas Invitational, with a time of 21:09 that placed her fourth on the team ... Claimed the team's fourth-best time in each of the postseason races, including the Mountain West Championships (13th overall, 21:31.74), the NCAA Mountain Region Championships (24th overall, 21:13.4) and the NCAA Championships (135th overall, 21:01.6).
2011: Continued as a solid top-seven runner for New Mexico, running at every postseason meet...Started season at the Kachina Classic, placing 25th with a 19:41.8 time...Ran the Wisconsin Invitational in 21:57, placing 201th...Posted a 15th-place finish at the Mountain West Championships, finishing in 21:55.4...Placed 39th and 213th at the NCAA Regionals and NCAA Championships, respectively.
2010: Ran at every single meet for the Lobos, emerging as a steady force for New Mexico...Opened with 22nd and tenth place finishes at the Lobo Invite (18:54.9) and Kachina Classic (18:35.9), respectively...Placed right around the century mark at two nationally-competitive meets, the Roy Griak and the Notre Dame Invites...Took 19th at the MWC Championships with a 22:54.8 time...Registered a 21:59.7 time at the NCAA Regionals, placing 50th...Finished the NCAA Championships in 22:40.4, good for 186th.
2009: Competed at four meets...Opened with a 13th-place finish at the Lobo Invitational, finishing in 18:41.42...Tallied a 21:46.6 time at the Kachina Classic to place 24th and a 18:37 time at the Notre Dame Invite to place 133rd...Led the Lobos' alternates at the UNM-NMSU "Duel in the Desert" with a 19:38 victory.
Attended the University of San Francisco during the 2008-09 school year...Made one early meet appearance during the cross country season (Aug. 30)...Named to the Deans Honor Roll.
A 2008 graduate of Santa Fe (N.M.) Prep School...Only ran cross country her final two years, but earned all-state honors both seasons for the class 2A Griffens...Captured the individual state title and earned New Mexico Runner of the Year honors in her debut XC season as a junior, and was third a senior...Led Santa Fe Prep to runner-up team finishes both years...Left as the school record holder in the mile (5:32) and was a five-time state finalist...Finished second in the 800 as a senior...Helped the Griffen 4x400 team win four state titles...Santa Fe Prep won the 2006 2A track championship...Also an all-state defender for the soccer team, helping the Griffens win class 3A state championships in 2003 and '05...Five-year letterwinner in both track and soccer...Also lettered a year on the dance team...Santa Fe Prep Scholar Athlete in 2008.
