COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The University of New Mexico track and field team received a pair of victories in its regular-season finale Friday at the Air Force Twilight Open.

Warrick Campbell and Annie Stirling both claimed wins as the Lobos gained additional experienced with the postseason starting next week at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships in Laramie, Wyo.

Campbell leaped 48 feet, 1 ¼ inches in the triple jump, good for the top finish. Right behind was Jadon Boatright, who claimed a distance of 46-1 ½ in his outdoor debut to place third.

Stirling cleared 12-8 ½ in the pole vault to earn first place, while Emily Heisler was in fourth place with a mark of 11-6 ½.

New Mexico saw just two more Lobos nab marks at the Cadet Outdoor Track and Field Complex, with Lindsay Read and Aasha Marler in the triple jump. Read tallied a result of 37-6 for second, as Marler narrowly missed her teammate, leaping 37-5 ¾ for third.

The Lobos will return to action next week as they look to turn in the program’s first ever “Triple Crown” by winning the MW Outdoor Championships to go along with their conference cross-country and indoor track and field titles in the 2013-14 year.
