Joe Franklin's Lobos tallied 55 top-10 finishes at the Great Friends of UNM Track & Field Stadium on Saturday.
The Lobos hosted a preeminent field of teams at the Don Kirby Elite Invitational at the Albuquerque Convention Center.
UNM hosts the New Mexico Invitational, their second of four home meets, Jan. 25-26 at the Albuquerque Convention Center.
2013 Indoor: Competed at five meets, including the conference championships ... Ran very similar times in the 400-meter dash at all three of his regular-season showings: 49.65* (13th place) at the New Mexico Invitational, 49.62* (10th) at the New Mexico Classic and 49.60* (11th) at the Don Kirby Open ... Also ran with the Lobos' 4x400 meter relay team, placing third at the Mountain West Championships and sixth at the nationally competitive Don Kirby Elite Invitational ... Also scored points for the Lobos at the conference meet in the distance medley relay.
2013 Outdoor: Ran at five meets, scoring at the MW Championships ... Ran a 49.28* time in the 400 at the Don Kirby Tailwind Invitational, placing fourth ... Posted identical times of 49.49 in the quartermile at the Air Force Triangular (third place) and the Beach Invitational (21st) ... Claimed a 49.66 time at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational, taking 11th ... Ran a personal-record and scoring mark of 48.88 at the MW Championships, placing fifth.
Lettered in track & field for four years and football for three years at West Mesa HS in Albuquerque ... Won the 400-meter dash at the New Mexico 5A Championships back-to-back years, claiming the title with a 48.42 time his senior year and with a personal-best 48.23 time his junior year ... Took fifth in the 200 at the 2012 state meet with a 22.22 time, while nabbing runner-up honor in 2011 with a 22.91 time ... At the APS Metro Championships, won both the 200 and the 400, while claiming third in the 100 with a season-best time of 11.21 ...
