Doug Schneebeck is in his eleventh year as volunteer assistant 400 meter hurdles coach at the University of New Mexico. A former World Masters Games champion in the 400-meter hurdles and a current U.S. masters record-holder in the 110m high hurdles, Schneebeck has been coaching hurdlers since 1996.

Under Schneebeck's tutelage, New Mexico's men and women have made the outdoor conference finals 20 times in the hurdle events. He helped David Lloyd earn all-MWC honors in 2002 and 2003 in the 400-meter hurdles. Lloyd was an NCAA provisional qualifier in `02, a regional qualifier in `03 and a finalist at the Texas Relays both years. Schneebeck also helped Chris Garofola reach the MWC finals twice in the 110m hurdles and set the UNM indoor record en route to a trip to the league 60m hurdles finals in 2004. In 2009 Kim Perkins, was the first New Mexico woman to go sub-60 since 1986.

Schneebeck was the assistant coach for hurdlers from 1996-99 at Albuquerque Manzano High School before moving on to Albuquerque High School for the 2000 season.

He was a four-year letterwinner and two-time track team captain at James Madison University from 1979-82. Schneebeck went on to capture the 400m hurdles at the 1998 World Masters Games and set a U.S. masters record in the 110m hurdles in 2000.

Schneebeck earned his bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, with a minor in Coaching, from James Madison in 1982. A 1985 graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law, he focuses his practice on commercial litigation and class actions, and the Management Committee of the Albuquerque-based Modrall, Sperling, Roehl, Harris and Sisk law firm. The 49-year-old Schneebeck and his wife, Jean, have three children: Jessica Herren, Jimmy, and Abigail.
