Global Golf Post All-America Teams

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – University of New Mexico junior golfer Gavin Green on Monday was named to the 2013 Global Golf Post All-America second team, the publication announced.

Coming off a victory at the Western Refining College All-America Classic, Green also finished in the round of 32 at the U.S. Amateur Championship in Brookline, Mass., and had a Top-10 result in the Southern Amateur in The Woodlands, Texas.

Green was one of 10 players named to the All-America second team.

The sophomore from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, currently is the No. 12 collegiate golfer in the country, according to the latest Golfweek.com/Sagarin rankings. He has two wins, four top 10s and top-20 finishes in all six of his tournaments during the 2013 fall season.

He has an average score of 70.44 strokes per round with 16 of his 18 rounds coming in under par.
