2013-14 (Freshman Season)

Cunningham competed in only one regular season match for the Lobos’ 2013-14 season. He finished the regular season with an overall singles record of 0-1, but gained a lot of experience through fall tournament play. Cunningham posted an 8-3 singles record in the fall.

Cunningham did not play any doubles matches in the regular season. He recorded a 4-1 doubles record in the fall with teammate Tanner Berkabile.

He was named a 2014 Mountain West Scholar-Athlete for his academic success during his first year at UNM. Cunningham was also named a 2014 Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar Athlete.

Prior to UNM

Cunningham is an in-state recruit from Anthony, N.M. He was homeschooled during high school and took online classes at the Abeka Academy. Cunningham played on the USTA Southwest Summer team in July 2013. Before coming to UNM he was ranked No. 1 in the southwest in the 18 year old category. He was also ranked in the top 90 in the nation for the 18 year old age group. 


Bryan Cunningham is a 2013 graduate of Abeka Academy Online. He is the son of Martha Ramirez Silerio and John Cunningham. He plans on studying accounting while at UNM. When he’s not playing tennis, he enjoys skiing, hunting, motocross, playing tennis, watching T.V., and listening to music.
