2011-12: Senior Season
Matthew Neeld finished his career with a singles record of 7-10 and a doubles record of 19-13. He posted a singles record during the 2011-12 season of 4-5 overall and a doubles record of 10-5 overall.
2010-2011: Junior Season
Neeld played one match in singles at the number four slot winning against Colorado Statep-Pueblo's Ivan Aragona with a score of 7-5, 6-1. In doubles, he mostly teamed up with Carl Ho to play at the number three position. He finished the season in doubles with a 5-5 record. Neeld filled in the doubles lineup with great success when he was called upon helping to win several big matches against UNLV and DePaul.
2009-2010: Sophomore Season
Heappeared in one singles and one doubles match in the dual season, picking up a win on Feb. 14 at the No. 6 position against Abilene Christian.
2008-2009: Freshman Season
He was named to the Academic All-Mountain West Conference team.
Prior to UNM
He is a 2008 graduate from Goddard High School in Roswell, N.M. He played in four state final appearances. He was named the state tennis champion in 2008.
He is the son of Jacquelyn and Curtis Neeld and has two brothers Russell, and Bobby. He enjoys motorcycling, hunting, and fishing. His father played tennis for UNM from 1977-1982. His grandmother, Nancy Neeld, was a professional tennis player winning 34 national titles. He is majoring in Biology.
