ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- The University of New Mexico’s women’s tennis program finished strong at the 2013 Wildcat Invitational as the Lobos went 4-0 on the last day of tournament.
After overcoming three long days of injuries and upsets, the Lobos are heading home with a doubles championship title and a record to be proud of.
While the first days of the tournament brought varied results for UNM, the Lobos were able to wrap up day three with a few victories to their name. Rachana Bhat and Meredith Hopson went undefeated in the Cardinal Doubles Flight. Susan Baklini, Emily Olivier, and Bhat all won their consolation match on Sunday morning.
The Lobos are heading back to Albuquerque where they will begin preparing for their next stop, the USTA Collegiate Clay Court Invitational in Orlando, Fla., Oct. 24-27.
