DON'T FORGET TO VOTE FOR YOUR LOBOS IN THE NCAA'S "6TH FAN" CONTEST
The NCAA has launched the “6th Fan” contest where fans are asked to vote for their school in three ways. You can vote online HERE and via Facebook or Twitter by posting a message using the hash tags #NMEX and #6thfan. Fans can vote once per method, per day.

As of today, the University of New Mexico sits at #6 out of 345 schools! If the Lobos can stay in the Sweet Sixteen through Sunday night, we will get a donation of $10,000 to the University's general scholarship fund. If the Lobos are voted the top 6th Fan school, the University of New Mexico would receive a $100,000 contribution!

LOBO SKIING WIN JADE ENTERPRISES/UNM INVITATIONAL
The Lobos got three more podium finishes last Saturday afternoon and that keyed the way for a runaway UNM win in the Jade Enterprises/Lobo Invitational, the squad’s first meet win since 2011.  The win puts UNM in solid position as the squad heads to the postseason with the RMISA/NCAA West Regionals starting on February 21 in Minturn and Beaver Creek, Colorado.  UNM ran away with the meet after winning both slaloms on Saturday as well as the women’s 10K freestyle and coming in second in the men’s 10K freestyle.

BASEBALL PICKED AS CO-FAVORITES BY MW COACHES & TEAM TO BEAT BY BASEBALL AMERICA
The Lobo Baseball team were picked as co-favorites in the MW along with San Diego St. Each team received three first-place votes and 43 points overall.iven how the Lobos were picked at the top of the standings, it's no surprise they also lead the way with four players on the Preseason All-MW Team. Preseason All-American Josh Walker headlines UNM's selections. Joining him are senior outfielder Chase Harris, junior catcher Alex Real and sophomore shortstop Jared Holley.

Baseball America also tabbed the Lobos as the "Team to Beat" in the MW. Not to mention, College Sports Madness released its 2014 Preseason All-Mountain West Team Friday, and Josh Walker was tabbed as the Pitcher of the Year and Baseball Head Coach Ray Birmingham as the Coach of the Year.
