SENIOR (2013):Taken by the Seattle Mariners in the 25th round of the MLB draft ... made 22 relief appearances for the Lobos totaling 20.1 innings ... made season debut in season-opening series vs. Oklahoma St. ... in two games vs. the Cowboys he allowed just one earned run in 5.1 innings and struck out five without walking a batter ... on May 4 he threw 1.1 shutout innings vs. Air Force on Senior Day ... finished the season with 16 strikeouts and was adept at keeping the ball on the ground, recording 29 groundouts compared to 13 flyouts ... did not allow a single earned run in four straight appearances from March 13 to March 19.
